Please join us for the first time, or welcome back to Middlebury, Vermont—in the heart of the Champlain Valley. Participate in what is becoming one of New England’s “must-do” road races. Now in its fourth year, the Middlebury Maple Run - The Sweetest Half has earned a reputation as being well-organized and friendly. Plus, we can't resist mentioning the beautiful, scenic course that features vistas of the Green Mountains and Adirondacks.  Here’s what runners had to say after 2011's race:

  • "In my opinion, this is a MUST DO running event! The energy and spirit of the organizers and participants is very positive! As you run through the majestic Middlebury and Weybridge scenery you can’t help but SMILE and feel GREAT! It’s a great sense of community that showcases very well what life in rural New England, especially Addison County, is all about!! This is now on my annual running calendar! Highly recommended." – Gale P., Sudbury, VT
  • "Thank you for putting on a fabulous race! I had a PR even with all the hills. It was extremely well organized and everyone was more than friendly.  But that's just how Vermonter's are!! I'll definitely be back next year.  Appreciate all the hard work!" - Doreen B., Troy, NY
  • "Thanks for a fantastic event yesterday. Such a small race fee really goes a long way in the Maple Run and I appreciate that (coming from New York City). You guys were so well-organized!" - Annie O., New York, NY
We pride ourselves on being attuned to runners' needs. We've listened to runners' feedback from previous years and continue to host a race that just keeps getting better.

As in past years, race proceeds benefit Cystic Fibrosis and several local non-profit organizations.
